Abbey Jarman
My name’s Abbey Jarman and I live in Tooting on the site of an old mental hospital where I feel strangely at home.
By day I’m a mild-mannered sales representative for a urological company selling medical devices (invasive ones – don’t ask); by night I don cape and tights and write historical novels.
I like to write about gentler times, when men were real men, women were real women, gay meant you were happy, and fifty pence would buy a small cottage and enough pigs’ trotters to feed a family of twelve for a year.
I have two of my books with Pollinger waiting to be placed, both of which are romances set during the Restoration. I am in the throes of writing my third book set at the end of the Restoration period amidst the uncertainty of the succession.
I love to write: it’s something I can do anywhere in the world- on a laptop or scraps of paper, or in my head when I’m lying in the bath!
