Bette spent over 25 years working in education at many levels, from pre-school to university. After early retirement she discovered an unsuspected talent for educational journalism and writing children's books. One-time tutor in Creative Writing at Sheffield University and now with an international writers' correspondence course, she is the founder member of a highly successful writers' group with a thriving record of publications for the children's market.
