Brandon Robshaw was born in London in 1961. He has lived in Oxford, Swansea and Paris, but has ended up living in Walthamstow, East London, about a mile from the house where he was born. He is married with two daughters, a son, and a labrador.
He lectures in Creative Writing for the Open University and for Westminster University. He is also a free lance journalist with work published in The Guardian, the Times, The Independent, the New Statesman, Junior and Psychologies. He regularly reviews books for the Independent on Sunday. He blogs at BrandonRobshaw.wordpress.com on the state of the English language. His other interests include philosophy (in which he is doing a PhD), cooking, and running. He has run the Lincoln Steeples and Spires Marathon and the Halstead Marathon and several half-marathons including the Great North Run. He writes poetry as a hobby and has won a number of prizes.
WORK IN PROGRESS
Brandon is writing books for two series for Working Partners, and is also co-writing a novel for teenagers, Total Eclipse, with Joe Chislett. Brandon and Joe also have a collaborative project in development with Chicken House.
