Dan Thomas

Dan Thomas’s career began in the glittering world of advertising, including time at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising and Bartle Bogle Hegarty. Not content with his MBA and media career, Dan left advertising in 2003 to pursue stand-up comedy and other creative opportunities. During his five years as a stand-up comedian, illustrator and film-maker, Dan gained approval from audiences and critics, including plaudits from Capital FM Radio (‘Brilliant’) and Time Out Magazine (‘Most Memorable Comedy Moments of 2005’).

No stranger to controversy, Dan’s 2006 Edinburgh Festival show West Side Tory - Ben Elton, The Musical, was both acclaimed as the number one must-see show in the festival by The Observer and also derided as the show to avoid at all costs by The Scotsman.

In late 2007, when his comedian wife Julia Morris was offered a television show back in Australia, Dan discovered a new vocation; being a house husband down under.  Dan now spends his time looking after two young daughters, and running the production company Mr & Mrs Thomas Productions alongside his wife. Somewhere in this he tries to find time to scold the cleaners, flirt with the gardener and write and illustrate children’s picture books.

Dan is currently at work on When Ruby Lost Lammy, a children’s picture book.
