David Murray was born in Sunderland, but lived for most of his life in south-east England. However, soon after graduating with a degree in Business Studies from Liverpool University, he moved to France – where he has remained since 1994.

After living in various parts of France, David settled in the landscape of A Year in Provence…along with his French wife and three bi-lingual children. Currently working as Logistics Manager for a major multi-national company, David had never imagined writing a book, but wanted to share his experiences of the French property market, so that others could benefit. Few Brits are aware of the possibility of buying a plot of land and having a ‘bespoke’ property built from new - ‘all of this at a price you did not believe possible’ says David, who has created a guide to every step of this exciting process.
