Mark is a founder member of The Slumming-It Theatre Company. He has been acting since he was fifteen, but when it became clear that his career arc wasn’t quite that of Harrison Ford he decided that the slightly less nerve-wracking profession of writing might suit him better.
To date, six of his plays have been staged, including Me and My Monkey at the Edinburgh Festival in 2003, and his screenplay Waiting for Eddie has just been optioned by Scanner-Rhodes Productions. Mark thinks he can play guitar (although his wife and children may disagree) and he produces really, really self-indulgent rock music with guitar solos that go on for far too long.
He has just recently finished his first novel for teenagers Morris Minor and the Abominable Chalet of Doom, which is currently on submission to publishers.
