Nick Drake-Knight  

Nick Drake-Knight has been a change consultant and speaker for over twenty years. 

After lecturing in the 1990s he developed his consulting skills in Europe and the former Soviet Bloc before returning to work in the UK as a business adviser for small & medium sized enterprises (SMEs), rapidly becoming a senior manager within the DTI funded Business Link network.

Nick formed NDK Group, www.ndk-group.com the speaking and change consultancy, in 2002 with a diverse portfolio of commercial and public sector clients.  He is also a director of the UK's leading mystery shopping company, Performance in People, www.performanceinpeople.co.uk providing sales & customer service advice and training to global brand names in high street retail, financial services & automotive sectors. He regularly speaks at national conferences, awards ceremonies and business events and is a popular contributor to magazines and e-zines.

In 2003 he advised the Department for Trade and Industry on the implementation of revised business support services for SMEs.  In recent years Nick’s work with global brands and with SMEs has focussed on customer service & sales performance improvement and the coaching of customer-facing staff.  His Model of Excellence™ is now accepted by many retail brands as the definitive approach to creating and sustaining customer service excellence.

Nick is a professionally qualified clinical hypnotherapist (D. Hyp, LCCH) and maintains a small number of private patients. He was trained by NLP co-creator Dr. Richard Bandler to become a Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming and has studied with Dr. John Grinder, (fellow co-creator of NLP) and Dr. Frank Farrelly, creator of Provocative Therapy.

Nick lives on the Isle of Wight off the south coast of Britain. He is married with four adult children.  He is, without doubt, the worst surfer in England.
