After a varied career as secretary, fruit picker, editorial writer, wife, mother, mature student, canine exerciser, gardener and general dogsbody Sue decided it was time for a change and thought writing books might be worth a try.
Four years and many rejected manuscripts later her novel for young adults ‘Catch the Moon’ caught the eye of Macmillans and became her first published book. Seventeen years and over forty books later Sue is still writing. In what little spare time she has, Sue has recently taken up painting and has already had some small success as an artist. She and her husband and dogs moved to New Zealand five years ago. There, she finds the wonderful land and beachscapes close to her home provide inspiration for writing, painting and lazing around in the sun.
